Check out the website for the upcoming World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (WCBCT), which takes place June 2-5, 2010, in Boston. WCBCT provides an opportunity for international CBT researchers and clinicians to meet and exchange ideas. Its scientific program features symposia, workshops, master clinician series and keynote addresses from leading experts around the world.

Many of Mass General's renowned clinicians, like Sabine Wilhelm, PhD, are involved in the planning and implementation of this program, and there is an upcoming deadline for poster submissions on December 4. Visit www.wcbct2010.org or email wcbct2010@partners.org for more information.

Update on a great session at the WCBCT conference:

"A Conversation Period with Dr. Aaron T. Beck and Dr. David M. Clark,” Drs. Beck (Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pennsylvania) and Clark (Professor of Psychology, Kings College London) discuss new advances in cognitive therapy in the United States and Europe, including the latest applications of cognitive therapy, recent work on the neurophysiological correlates of the cognitive model, and the empirical evidence for the more recent modifications of cognitive therapy and cognitive behavior therapy.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear two of the most influential leaders in the international CBT community discuss cutting edge issues in our field. This invited address is scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Law Auditorium at Boston University.

For more information and other highlights of the upcoming WCBCT conference, visit www.wcbct2010.org. For questions, email wcbct@bu.edu.
